Hi-vis workwear manufacturing

DRESSOURCE supports private-label high-visibility garment development for distributors, contractors and uniform buyers. Compliance must be designed into the product specification before fabric and reflective components are booked.

Hi-vis product scope

High-visibility workwear is a functional safety product category. The fluorescent fabric, reflective material, garment design and area calculations must match the buyer’s stated market and standard.

Vests and waistcoats

Basic safety vests, executive vests, surveyor styles, utility-pocket vests and branded promotional safety garments.

Jackets and parkas

Softshell, rainwear, padded and winter outerwear with buyer-approved colour blocking, reflective positioning and weather protection.

Trousers and coveralls

Work trousers, bib trousers and coveralls using fluorescent panels, contrast fabrics and reflective bands according to the approved design.

Shirts and tops

Knitted polos, T-shirts, sweatshirts and woven work shirts using high-visibility colours and specified reflective components.

Information required before quotation

  • Destination market and required standard or buyer specification
  • Garment class, design drawing and reflective-tape layout
  • Fluorescent colour and fabric composition, structure and GSM
  • Reflective component brand, width, performance and certification requirement
  • Wash durability, colourfastness, dimensional stability and physical-test scope
  • Quantity by colour and size, branding method and delivery date
Compliance position

DRESSOURCE should not represent a garment as certified until the applicable standard, approved components, test route and certification evidence are confirmed for the specific order.

Quality risks that require control

Common risk points include fluorescent shade variation, reflective tape misplacement, insufficient stitch security, seam leakage, shrinkage after washing, delamination, incorrect component substitution and inconsistent garment measurements.

Recommended checkpoints

  1. Approve fabric, reflective tape and trim sources before bulk booking.
  2. Confirm the sealed sample and measurement chart.
  3. Inspect tape placement and sewing quality during production.
  4. Verify labels, packaging and product claims against approved documents.
  5. Complete agreed laboratory testing and final inspection before shipment.

Commercial route

MOQ and price are driven by the selected fluorescent fabric, reflective component, construction, test requirements and quantity. Selected simple vest programs can support lower entry quantities, while custom-dyed or certified outerwear generally requires a larger material commitment.

FOB is the standard route. Air, sea, courier and selected DDP options can be reviewed after the product, shipment value and destination are confirmed.
